Apparently the Greeks rarely pay their taxes and cheat the government constantly. They engage in all manner of bribery and corruption. Everyone pays cash and does not require receipts when purchasing things, so there is no way to track income for taxation.

The Greek Government needs to go green they have lots of sun for solar energy, they have lots of wind for wind power, they have a tropical climate for food, and they have tourism. They also need a more balanced social democratic system, the government can not take from the people what they don't have. People must work and then they can share with the running of the country.

Michael, because you were foolish enough to be pickpocketed three times you are accusing a whole nation of being thieves. What of the younger generations who had nothing to do with all this? Lastly, despite all of its government's errors, you seem to need to be reminded that all this started in America. The global financial crisis started in the USA. Sadly the USA is heading to a depression. But I would never be so callous as to say "now they're paying for it." I know the brunt of those who will suffer the most had nothing to do with the actions of Wall Street and the government. Your comment is as dumb as saying I hate black people because I was robbed by one once. The USA is in much worse shape than Greece. Everyone is eventually going to feel the pain.

Let Serbia and Romania bail Greece out. With all their "brotherhood" mentality. I`ll never go to greece, ever. Pickpocketed three times, different trips, even took precautions. They are thieves. Now they are paying for it.
